THE IDEA
THE IDEA
If there is anything corona has taught us, it is that real contact with other people is indispensable for our well-being. The pandemic has made us appreciate public space more. We walk outside more often and meet each other on the street, in the squares and in the parks. In today’s world, personal encounters are also urgently needed from a social point of view.
It is an important means against the increasingly fierce criticism of each other, against the increasing hardening and division in society. Respect each other and connect. Sit and Connect offers this in a light-hearted and innovative way of thinking and you can apply it right away. Everyone who sits on it: Connect!
SIT AND CONNECT
Connect is the first of the Sit and Connect series.
A pink sofa 6 meters long with five seats. Four out of five is a sliding seat. So when you sit down, you can decide for yourself how much distance you want to keep from another person, or not. This seating artwork is sturdy, clearly without fuss, and requires an active contribution from everyone. The concept is now under further development. The interactive bank Connect is growing into a form of family. Different seating objects can be made by applying different words, colors and lengths. They appear as thoughts in the city. People who sit on them determine whether the text is given an extra meaning.
